Department of Tourism Organizes a Sufi musical evening at the SKICC

Srinagar- As part of the ongoing three-day Sufi festival, the Ministry of Tourism organized a musical evening at the SKICC on Saturday.

The event took place at the back lawns to celebrate the rich musical and Sufi heritage of Jammu and Kashmir.

Renowned singers presented popular Sufi numbers to the applause of the audience.

The musical evening was attended by Chief Secretary, Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta; Additional Chief Secretary, Finance, Bharadwaj, Principal Secretary, Higher Education, Rohit Kansal, VC, KVIB, Dr Hina Shafi Bhat, Kashmir Divisional Commissioner, Pandurang K Pole; Tourism Secretary, Sarmad Hafeez, Director of Kashmir Tourism, Dr. GN Itoo, senior officials from Divisional Administration and Departments of Tourism and Higher Education and other allied departments as well as some many tourists and locals also attended the musical evening.

During the evening, renowned artists from Kashmir sang beautiful songs having mystical significance as well as describing the teachings of the Sufis and Reshis of Kashmir.
