DAILY COVID CASES RETURN IN THE HUNDREDS, ALL DUE TO THE INCREASED DELTA VARIANT IN MISSISSIPPI – THE ANTHE D PROBLEM IS ONLY WIDERING. IF THIS IS LIKE WE SLIDE BACK … THIS IS BECAUSE WE ARE. THE PANDEMIC IS NOT ENDED, COVID IS MAKING A MEBACOCK, AND BADLY WE LET IT HAPPEN. ONLY THIS TIME THE VARIANT SPREADS FASTER. VICTIMS ARE YOUNGER. AND ALTHOUGH WE ALL HAVE FREE ACCESS TO THE LARGEST WEAPON AGAINST THIS VIRUS, BOTH THIRD-PARTIES OF MISSISSIPIANS HAVE NOT GET VACCINATIONS. TE STATE, 90% OF ALL COVID DEATHS AND 95% OF HOSPITALIZATIONS ARE FROM UNVACCINED PEOPLE. IN JUST A FEW WEEKS, STUDENTS RETURN TO S CLASS IN PERSON. THOUSANDS OF CHILDREN, ADOLESCENTS AND YOUNG ADULTS SIT TOGETHER IN CLASSROOMS, WALK WITH OTHERS IN FILLED HALLS, PLAY WITH OTHERS ON PLAYGROUND D. TO PROTECT THEM. REMEMBER, IT TAKES WEEKS TO BECOME COMPLETELY VACCINATED, DEPENDING ON THE PLAN YOU RECEIVE … IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO ENTER THE FULLY PROTECTED SCHOOL YEAR … NOW IS THE TIME TO VACCINE YOURSELF. Every day, COVID-19 cases are climbing in the hundreds, in part because of the delta variant outbreak in Mississippi – and the problem is only getting worse. If we feel like we’re going backwards, it’s because we are. The pandemic is not over. COVID-19 is making a comeback, and sadly we’re letting that happen. Only this time the variant is spreading faster. The victims are younger, and while we all have free access to the best weapon against this virus, two-thirds of all Mississippians have not been vaccinated. According to the state, 90% of all deaths from COVID-19 and 95% of hospitalizations are unvaccinated. In just a few weeks, students return to classes in person. Thousands of children, adolescents and young adults will sit together in classrooms, walk side by side in crowded hallways, play with each other on the playground. Time is running out to protect them. Remember that it takes weeks to be fully immunized, depending on the vaccine you receive. If you are planning to enter the school year fully protected, now is the time to get vaccinated. Don’t let misinformation stop you from making a decision that will save your life. Do the research. Ask your sources and talk to your doctor. The numbers don’t lie. We are backing down and the vaccine is working.
