Broadway with a twist – No excuses! Is at the Wolf Performance Hall to raise funds for the London Food Bank’s Arts 4 All Kids programme, with 19 singers including Denise Pelley, Saidat Abari-Vandenberg, Deborah Mitchell and Bronwyn Powell.

“If you love Broadway musicals, this will be a fun and exciting night,” said Karen Pincombe, co-director and founder of the Arts 4 Kids program, now in its 32nd year.

“It’s a show filled with laughter, love, poignant moments and twisted moments. London has all these incredible artists donating their talents for these children. They are all fantastic performers, not a weak singer in the group.

This year, the show is free, but seats must be reserved online at arts4allkids.ca or by calling 519-709-0532.

“Due to the pandemic, so many people have been impacted financially, so we felt this was an opportunity to give back to them so that everyone, regardless of income, can come and have a great time,” said Pincombe.

“We always want to fundraise, so donations will be greatly appreciated.”

Among the numbers played are This Is Me (The Greatest Showman), Everybody Says Don’t (Anyone Can Whistle), Ol’ Man River (Showboat) and Revolting Children (Matilda).

The performers include three young people involved in the Arts 4 Kids program: Keirah Buckley, Jennifer Ramirez and Miranda Russell.

London Food Bank’s Arts 4 All Kids is a volunteer-run after-school activity program for children offering lessons in piano, violin, guitar, dance, musical theatre, acting, creative writing and visual arts to underserved children in grades 2-9.
