No team has had a worse offseason than the Houston Texans in 2021. The Texans first asked Deshaun Watson to voice his frustration and demand a trade – only to see him end up in the hot water for serious misconduct charges.
Watson is now expected to be unable to prepare for the 2021 season, which means Tyrod Taylor will be the starter. Taylor is a good player, but going from one of the best snipers in the game to someone who has been a companion is a bit overwhelming.
On top of that, they don’t have a lot of solid depth in many of their positions, and their recent hiring as a coach doesn’t give them much confidence. David Culley was the choice and he came from the Baltimore Ravens where he was the wide receivers coach and passing coordinator.
The problem was, the Ravens’ passing game wasn’t exactly that great, so it was a bit of a curious rental. Put it all together and there isn’t a whole lot of confidence in this team at all.
