‘Peter Pan’ music production benefits from scholarship fund

Palatine Park District will host a live performance of “Peter Pan: A Musical Adventure” at the Cutting Hall Performing Arts Center, 150 E. Wood St., Palatine.

Opening at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 22, the show will also have performances at 7 p.m. on January 22 and 1 p.m. on Sunday, January 23. The box office and lobby will open one hour before showtime for ticket sales and raffle tickets.

Performances from the Palatine Dance Class will be presented before the show and during intermission. All proceeds from the event will support Susannah’s Gift Scholarship Fund.

Tickets are $10 and are available in advance and at the door. Palatine Park District will also livestream the 1 p.m. show on January 22. Live stream tickets can be purchased for $5, hosted on Eventbright.

The Susannah Gift Scholarship Fund was established in memory of Susannah Kist, a longtime theater and music teacher from the Palatine Park District, who lost her battle with cancer in 2009. The Scholarship Fund, made possible through the Palatine Park Foundation, assists residents in financial need who would like to participate in cultural arts activities in the Park District.

“We’ve set up this wonderful scholarship fund, so students don’t need to let funding be a barrier to pursuing a course in the arts. We’d like to spread the word that more people can enjoy it,” said Lisa Swan, Cultural Arts Coordinator for the Palatine Park District.

Tickets are available at the Cutting Hall box office and can be purchased in person at 150 E. Wood St., by phone at (847) 202-5222 or online at coupehall.org.

A link to Livestream Tickets can be found on the Park District Facebook page and at coupehall.org. Additional ticketing fees may apply.

For in-person advance transactions, the box office will be open one hour before each scheduled performance.
