The biggest thing happening this week in drag is the premiere of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 7, the long and highly anticipated season of “all the winners”. Premiering May 20 on Paramount+ with two all-new episodes, eight past winners will compete in the ultimate competition to be crowned “Queen of all Queens” – with a prize of $200,000!

But wait, there’s more: in addition to the actual episodes, there will be plenty of bonus queen content to keep even the biggest drag race busy fan.

Now there’s another one to add to your queue: Squirrel Friends: The Official RuPaul’s Drag Race Podcast. Beginning May 23, Squirrel friends will be hosted by actors and comedians Alec Mapa and Loni Love, who are not only drag race superfans, but also joined Ru and Michelle Visage behind the judges’ table on several occasions. Mapa and Love will not only talk about the latest episode, but they will also talk with the contestants and drag race new season superstars.

A new animated short written by Matt Rogers (Fire Island, I like it for you) and narrated by comedian Matteo Lane, The Battle of Mount RuCropolis tells the origin story of the eight goddesses who compete for the title of “Queen of all Queens” in this season of Drag Race All Stars. If you like Disney Hercules — or that of Kylie Minogue Aphrodite era – then this is the toon drag for you.

The studio recording of DRAG: the musical is a hit, making it to iTunes’ Top 10 Soundtrack Albums chart last week. DRAG: the musical was designed by Drag Race All Stars Season 2 winner Alaska with longtime musical collaborators Tomas Costanza and Ashley Gordon. The new musical “tells the story of two rival drag bars as they race to survive amidst financial troubles.” While DRAG: the musical is currently only an album, live soundtrack workshops will be be executed from June 10 to June 11 at The Bourbon Room in Los Angeles with actors Alaska, Lagoona Bloo, Monet X Change and Nick Adams.
