THE MUSICAL & More Announced for Bank of America Performing Arts Center 2022-23 Season

The American Theater Guild unveiled its 2022-2023 season for the Bank of America Performing Arts Center. The BROADWAY IN THOUSAND OAKS SERIES will include the following touring productions: 9 TO 5: THE MUSIC, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, ANASTASIA and CATS.

“We are truly thrilled with the caliber of shows lined up for the 2022-2023 season. We strive to deliver world-class entertainment that will inspire audiences,” said Amy Hamm, executive director of The American. Theater Guild. “It is important that we continue our mission in the Thousand Oaks community and support the performing arts with quality performances as well as increased efforts in educational programs and partnerships through our Staging the Future initiative.”

TUMBLE OUTTA’ BED AND TUMBLE TO Dolly Parton‘S RIP-ROARING MUSICAL!

The 9 to 5 hit musical includes a book from the original screenwriter of the iconic film Patricia Resnick and an Oscar, Grammy and Tony nominated score by the country queen herself, Dolly Parton.

9 TO 5 THE MUSIC tells the story of three colleagues pushed to boiling point by their sexist and selfish boss. By concocting a plan to kidnap and turn the tide of their despicable supervisor, will the ladies succeed in reforming their office – or will events unfold when the CEO pays an unexpected visit? Inspired by the iconic 80s film and brought to you by Dolly herself, this hilarious new production is all about teaming up, getting up and taking care of business!

With a talented cast, a sumptuous orchestra and breathtaking movements and dances by the Israeli choreographer Hofesh Shechterbased on the original production by Jerome Robbins, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF will introduce a new generation to the uplifting celebration that raises its cup to joy! Inspired by the beloved films, the new romantic and adventure-filled musical ANASTASIA is finally on its way to Thousand Oaks!

From the makers of the Tony Award®-winning Broadway classic Ragtime, this dazzling show transports us from the twilight of the Russian Empire to the euphoria of 1920s Paris, as a brave young woman sets out to explore the mystery of his past. Pursued by a ruthless Soviet officer determined to silence her, Anya enlists the help of a dashing con man and a lovable ex-aristocrat. Together they embark on an epic adventure to help her find a home, love and family.

ANASTASIA presents a book by a famous playwright Terrence McNallya lush new score of Stephane Flaherty (music) and Lynn Ahrens (lyrics) based on the original direction of the Tony Award® winner Darko Tresnjak with choreography by Peggy Hickey and tour direction by Sarah Hartmann.
